Battlefront EA review

Battlefront EA was released on November 17, 2015. When the first trailer was released I was hyped and ready to go pre-order the game. But a friend of mine told me to wait as the game would not be great at all. For some reason I didn't pre-order and WOW was he right. The 1st and biggest thing EA has ruined this game was their DLC’S. There are currently 4 upcoming DLC’S with the following:

  1. 16 additional multiplayer maps featuring new locations
  2. 4 exciting new game modes
  3. Two-week early access to each expansion pack
  4. Exclusive “Shoot First” emote????????

EA has pretty much given everyone who bought this game less than HALF of the game. And to get these DLC’S you must pay $50 BUCKS! You're paying for another game!! EA has completely said forget the players, let's give them “some” content for $60 bucks and then ask them for another $50 bucks! AHAHAH! Well forget that! The single player modes are extremely boring. First is the training where you pretty...well train. Second is the survival. After the 5th round, you get pretty damn bored. Third is the battles, which is pretty good and last is….hero battles. Which is pretty the same as battles, but you play as Darth Vader or Luke. And the multiplayer gets boring after a while. Among the 12 maps, four are Walker Assault exclusives and another four are for Supremacy and thus, the other seven modes of the gameplay shift between four maps only! There are only 11 weapons, which is just disappointing and the vehicles are not as fun to use after a while. It is easy to camp and kill on small maps. You won’t even have time to find the enemy! The power-ups and cards are pretty good though. The game also does have AMAZING sound effects! The voice acting though could use A LOT more work. Pretty what I’m saying is that game DOES NOT deserve the rating it got. IGN gave it a 8 out of 10. Gamespot gave it a 7 out of 10 which isnt that bad, but it’s still too high. It deserves at best a 5 out of 10. The gamemodes are boring, there really isnt a lot to do unless you spend $50 bucks to get a season pass to get the DLC’S and it really doesnt feel like the other battlefronts. EA seems to only be doing this for the money and isn’t caring about the game it self.

How this game could have been better:

  1. Reduce the price for the season pass
  2. Add a campaign (A perfect DLC)
  3. Add more depth into the multiplayer vehicle missions.
  4. Not being made by EA dice.
